次回、この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 In the previous posts on Company Logos& Markings (Part 1) , (Part 2) , (Part 3) and (Part 4) we took a close look at photos sent in by S-san the proud owner of a very well preserved Hikari bicycle manufactured by Dai Nippon Kikai Kougyou. So far, we found a total of 112"Hikari" markings. There are also plenty of Dai Nippon Kougyou markings (DNB), but we are focusing soley on"Hikari" markings spelled out in English or the Chinese character光 . We have covered the front wheel portion, handlebars, main frame triangle, chaincase, pedals, rear wheel and carrier. This is the final installment of the series where we will conclude with look at a few miscellaneous items. A typical lock from the 1950's is attached to the left seat stay. 土曜日は、ヤビツ峠を宮ケ瀬方面から攻めて（？）、同じルートで帰ってきて、１２０キロ、その前の前の土曜日は山中湖へ道志道を通って１５０キロ。 どちらも、帰宅後、風呂掃除、部屋の掃除機がけ、洗濯物を取り入れて、来ていたジャージレーパン類の選択、その後、ＯＫストアに車で買出し。 はっきり言って、これはキツイ。 もっともキツイのが、階段の掃除機がけ。 フラフラになって倒れそうになる。 なにせ、このために体力を温存せねばならない。 大汗をかくので、帰宅後、すぐにシャワーを浴び、掃除機をかけた後またシャワー、風呂掃除の後もまたシャワーとなり、都合３度のシャワー。 やっぱり、山道を走る場合は１５０キロが限界かな。

猛暑。 気温３５度というのは百葉箱の温度ですからね。 日向はとんでもないわけですよ。 今朝は4時半に起きて遅くとも5時半に出発しようとたくらんでいた。 起きることはできたのだけれど、猫が餌を欲しがり、そうこうしていると鳥が出せと鳴き始め、朝食が終わったら、いつもの大きいのが出ない。 ふと時計を見るとすでに6時近く。 結局大きいのはあきらめて、玄関の扉を開けたのは6時半。 この時刻ではすでに、数年前の夏の昼なみの気温になっていました。 さすがに、陣馬街道に入って山も近くなってくると涼しくなってきます。 木々が近くにあるというのはこういうことなのですね。 この頃は、タイムトライアルはしませんよ。 そこで、道すがら写真をとりながら登りました。 ここから斜度が上がると ...

Rear fenders were embossed with the company logo. Typically this logo can be found directly behind the seat tube as shown in the photo below.
