次回この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 In the 70th Anniversary of the End of WWII (Part 1) it was mentioned that Japan's bicycle industry began a long decline starting in 1932 as it moved from free enterprise system to state controlled enterprise system and this lasted up until the end of WWII in 1945. There are many reasons for Japan's industrial rise after WWII, surely one factor is that after WWII the Supreme Allied Commander prohibited Japan from pursuing aircraft research or manufacturing. 今年、戦後70周年を迎えます。
戦争は日本自転車業界に大きな打撃を与えました。
昭和６年に日本が満州国を侵略し、昭和７年に商工省令によって日本自転車業界に生産統制が行わました。
第二次世界大戦が終わる昭和２０年まで、統制経済により自転車業界は凋落の一途を辿りました。
戦争による自転車への影響は、バッヂやカタログなどにも反映されています。
このヘッドバッヂは昭和初期。
良く見ると国旗は２つあり、左に日本と右に満州国。

次回この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 The world marks the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII this year. The war had a huge impact on the Japanese bicycle industry. The long slow spiral decline of the Japanese bicycle industry started just after Japan invaded Manchuria in 1931 as Japan began a gradual shift from a free enterprise to a state controlled enterprise. War and its impact on the bicycle industry are reflected in bicycles and catologs of this period 1931-1945. The head badge below shows two flags, Japan on the left and Manchuria on the right. Probably dating back to around 1931 when Japan siezed Machchuria and then created the puppet state Manchuko. The bicycle catalog below from 1938 shows the Japanese Imperial Army, most likely in China as this period coincides with the Second Sino-Japanese War. 2015/7/4 昼飯ポタリング 荏原町「ほかげ」 OFFは一日雨の予定だったが昼頃雨が止んで日が射してきたので ネットでアメッシュや雨雲レーダーを確認すると山間部以外は雨雲が無くなっていたので 「チャンス」と昼飯ポタリング 洗足池 多摩川〜洗足池を経由し中延へ ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝

I'll be back with another English post soon until then stay trued and happy wheels. 「日本スヰフト工業株式会社」は元々1869年（明治1年）に英国の自転車歴史が豊富なコベントリー市で設立された Swift Cycle Company にルーツがあります。 スヰフトより「 機関銃印自転車」 N.S.C（Nippon Swift Company）の方が良く知られているかもしれません。 大正12年の「 機関銃印自転車」の 宣伝。 この「機関銃」の由来は、 推測ですが、英国Swift Bicycle Companyの会長は Charles Thomas Brock Sangster （サングスター氏）という方でした。 サングスター氏は 発明した ヴィッカーズ機関銃 用の 三脚 に対して1916年 に特許を認可されました。 純正なスヰフト「機関銃の印」の 風切 です。. 純正なスヰフト「機関銃の印」の 責任保証メダル です。 婦 ...

2015/6/24 深大寺蕎麦ポタリング 「そば処 湧水」 そうそう遠出も出来ないし美味いお蕎麦屋があるといっても都内ばかり走っていても面白くない、 そんな時なんとなく向かってしまうのが多摩.武蔵野方面、横浜北部からもアクセスが良く ちょっと走れば武蔵野の面影が残る風情のある空間にトリップできるので中学生の頃からのポタリングコース 深大寺参道脇の水路 実際の気温とかではなく、この涼しげな水と緑が涼を感じさせるのです。 参道の入り口付近に植わっていた蕎麦 （実際深大寺の蕎麦店で供される蕎麦は深大寺周辺で生産されたものはありません。） ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝

次回、この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 Swift is a well-known bicycle name dating back to 1869 when the Swift Bicycle Company was established in Coventry, England. Here is an advertisement for a Nippon (Japan) Swift bicycle from around 1924. The Nippon Swift Company (N.S.C) had a unique logo, a tripod mounted machine gun . The use of this logo probably stems from a patent awarded to the the chairman of the parent company back in England, Charles Thomas Brock Sangster, in 1916 for the design of a tripod used on Vickers machine guns . Here is an actual Nippon Swift Company fender ornament . Another model fender ornament. A genuine Nippon Swift Bicycle Company guarantee medal . Even ladies bicycles bore a tripod mounted machine gun fender ornament as can be seen in the advertisement below. 2015/06/14 今年も ニューサイクリング誌の編集長だった故今井彬彦氏を偲び ニューサイ誌に影響を受け今も自転車とサイクリングをこよなく愛すサイクリストが 故人が好きだった信州の杖突峠に集まる集合サイクリングに参加してきました。 杖突 峠までのコースは自由ですが、5月に逝去されたツーリング車乗り共通の友人atsさんの追悼ランとして 同氏も走った鏡湖経由のコースを走ろうと地黒団子奈さんの呼びかけがありました。 atsさんは例年今井編集長メモリアルランに参加されていて今年も参加する予定だった様です。 諏訪 南峠 茅野鏡湖にて小休止 板室林道にて鏡湖コースで杖突峠を目指す仲間 諏訪中央公園ー茅野ー鏡湖ー（板室林道）ー杖突峠ー峠茶屋ー杖突峠ー松尾峠ーもみじ湖ー後山 ...
