次回、この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 In the previous post Rust Removal Oxalic Acid (Part 1) I mentioned that I received a promising tip on rust removal using oxalic acid from a Mr Akagiyama. Impressed with the results Mr Akagiyama obtained, I decided to order some to test for myself. This is a tool that came with a bunch of other old tools I purchased via an online auction. I have several old tool catalogs, but never have I seen this tool before. I consulted a fellow enthusiast over at しげＰの自転車日記 (Japanese only) and he was able to solve the mystery. The tool is used to cut the excess from spokes on the inside of the rim. But, for the present, let's focus in on how well oxalic acid removes rust from old tools. 今日、店長と大介は無事戻っています。そして、お仕事していますよ。 グランボアのセンタープル用の千鳥の最終研磨はアイズの店内でしています。今日は店長と大介で200個磨きました。ちなみにバイトのチョコ君は400個磨いたんだって。パッケージのデザインもほぼ決まり、準備進んでます。 そして、 エルスのフェデラル の上物のレストアがようやく完了し、ショッピングサイトにアップされました。フレームはオリジナル塗装をタッチアップで補修。サイズも小さめでなかなか競争率高そうです。いかがですか？

ずいぶん降りましたねェ。今日は今年一番の雪の量で店に来る道中も２台ほど溝に嵌った車が放置されていましたよ。おーコワ。片道５０キロを恐る恐る運転してくるので店に来るころには一仕事終えたような気分になります。 さて、今日は大介と店長は年に一回だけ参加している学生たちの「追い出しラン」に参加するため不在です。今年は岡山開催なのですが朝送られてきたメールによるとあちらも雪が積もっているとのこと。 自転車乗れるのかな？？？店長が戻ってくるのは明日のお昼頃の予定です。お店は朝から開ける予定ですが、店長は午前中不在です。 そして、実は次の週末２月１５日１６日も出張にて店長と私は不在になります。甥っ子の結婚式がてら 埼玉のサイクルエキスポ を見物してこようかと思っています。店は大 ...

どうしても海の方になってしまい今までは江ノ島固定でしたが、これからは葉山あたりで長者ケ崎に行きスターバックスでコーヒーでも飲んで来ることにします。家でお昼も食べれるし。

この間、ショッピングサイトからご注文いただいた方のお荷物で神奈川の方のお荷物を愛媛へ、愛媛県の方のお荷物を神奈川へとそれぞれ間違って送ってしまうという大失敗をしてしまいました。こんなことは初めてで少しあわてましたが何とか修正することができ、結果的にはよかったのですが、ホント、お客様にはご迷惑をおかけしてしまいました。。スミマセン。 私が配送の修正にあたふたしていたその日、店長は台湾日帰り出張に出かけていました。朝3時に起きて戻ってきたのは夜中の1時半。荷物も大変でしたが、店長も大忙しの一日でした。でも、おかげでほとんどのブレーキの小物を持ち帰ることができましたよ。残るはあと数点です。 いま流行のLCC。こんな小さな飛行機でタラップを使って乗り降りします。

次回、この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 I received a very promising tip from a Mr Akagiyama, along with photos, on the troublesome and laborious job of removing rust. Apparently, Mr Akagiyama is in the process of restoring a Marubeni Yamaguchi, similar to one I restored several years ago . This is his project, prior to starting the restoration.The bicycle itself is in fair condition, but the rims are heavily rusted. Since Araya stopped making stainless steel BE rims a few years back, the only options available now are to remove the rust from the old ones, hunt for NOS (new old stock), or, have the current ones re-chromed.
