Tamagawa (Sekidobashi) Flea Market (Video)

次回、この記事の日本語版を投稿します。 The bi-annual Tamagawa (SEKIDOBASHI) Bicycle Flea Market was held today. Luckily I only live 12 kilometers away so I arrived early at 6:30, but there were already quite a few vendors selling. The weather was perfect and the the number of people seems to increase each time the flea market is held. By 8:00 things were in full swing. The number of bicycles was impressive, but one thing struck me. As you can see in the photos many modern bicycles either don't have kickstands, or, the kickstands bore into the turff and are useless, thus people have to lay their beloved two wheeled buddy on the ground. But not the good'ol fashioned bicycle. As you can see it is one of the few standing! 秋の鶴見川CR/鶴川（町田）「左膳」 ２０１０年10月１１日 舗装も悪いし（荒くて凸凹）道幅も狭い鶴見川CR でもこんな光景に出会ってしまうと許せてしまう、、、 鶴見川CR川和付近 秋桜：コスモス、、、外来種なんでこういった場所に植えるのって生態系を乱すそうですが、 でもコスモスってもう日本の風景に定着した感がありますよね バスやブルーギル放流の同じこと？でもこちらは心が和みますね、、、 対岸に見えるのは梨畑、 横浜産の梨なので「浜なし」という名前が付いています。 ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝

月曜日から喉が痛くなり始め、本格的な風邪に突入。 月曜日には回復するかと期待していたものの、体に力が入らず、この３連休はモンモンとして過ごす。

２０１０年10月５日 仙川を辿って練馬へ／南大泉「季彩 そばきり すゞ木 」 仙川沿いの小径 何度も書いているかもしれないが、東京を南北に移動する場合、ポタリングに適した良い道が無い 東京は皇居を中心に放射状に各地に向かう街道が発達しているせいで、 街や鉄道、主要道もそれに沿って発達しているので それ等を横切る南北の道に弱い、西側だと環八や環七もあるが ポタリングを楽しむ様な道ではない。 ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝

いろいろとお知らせしないといけないことがたまってしまっていますのでまとめてご報告。
ただいま名古屋セントラルパークアネックスにて「京都デザインウィーク」が開催されています。今月の１７日までですがグランボアのエントリーモデルを１台展示させていただいてます。お近くの方はどうぞ覗いてみてください。
来週週末は毎年参加しています「ポリージャポン」に参加予定です。お店は１６日は午前中のみ、１７日は午後から営業の予定です。ご不便をおかけしますがよろしくお願いします。
１１月５日、６日、７日はサイクルモード東京に出展予定です。エントリーモデルの試乗車も用意いたしますのでぜひ興味のある方はご来場ください。ただし、今年は大阪の出展はございませんのでご注意ください。

土曜日、もうけもんとも言える天気で晴れ、雲は多く秋晴れとは言えないものの十分な天候。 これまで、南浅川サイクリングロードから直接陣馬街道を走っていたが、しばらくの間、大型ダンプが結構通るので、裏道を探していたのだけれども、先週末にランドナーで走ってみて良かったので紹介しましょう。 今回は、ロードで。 いや、多いね、自転車乗り。 ６?７人の集団２つに数人の集団が何組も、個人も。 ブームですね。

Held on the third Saturday of April and October, along the banks of the Tamagawa river, the flea market is a great place to make connections with fellow cyclists of every genre. So mark it on your calendar, Saturday, October 16th. CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE The early bird gets the worm, so get there early. It is not uncommon for people to set up shop at 6am! Certainly by 7am or 8am things are in full swing and by 12pm most people are closing shop. If you are a vintage Japanese bicycle fan like myself, I recommend stopping off at長寿自転車商会 (Choju Jitensha Shokai = Long Life Bicycle Shop). Long life is right, the propriotor has over 50 years in the bicycle business. 今回はラスベガスのインターバイクを１日観て、その後デンバーとシアトルの取引先を訪問して来ました。数えてみると１５年ぶりの渡米。大変内容の濃い出張でしたがまだお知らせできることがほとんど無いんですよね。スミマセン。でもいろいろ取り組んでいるのは確かですので今後を楽しみにしていてくださいませ。写真はデンバーで少しサイクリングさせていただいたときの様子。アメリカはとにかく広かったです。
