2016年4月9〜10日 杏村こと長野県千曲市（旧更埴市森地区）を花見ポタリング 数ヶ月ぶりに土日が公休になった（普段は平日休みが多い）折角なので輪行で楽しめるところに行ってみようと思い立った。 （首都圏内の鉄道は平日はほぼラッシュで輪行袋を持っての乗車は困難） さて何処へ、大好きな信州もアルプスの峠や林道はまだ一寸早いし桜の名所もありきたりだし、、、 ふと10年程前に行った旧更埴市（現千曲市）の通称「杏の里」こと 更埴 森、倉科地区のことを思い出した。 千曲市観光協会のHPで開花情報を確認すると残念ながら山里一帯がまるで桃色の霞の様に染まる 里はピークを過ぎ落花してしまった様だが里山の上の方はまだ花が咲いている様だ 夜勤明け急いで北陸新幹線の指定を取り心躍らせる。 ...

今まで 「サス付き革製サドル第一回」 ， 「第二回」 ， 「第三回」 ， 「第四回」 の記事で、 昭和20年代後半〜30年代前半 の革製サドル４種類 800系 、 750系 ?、 900系 と 500系 それぞれを見て来ました。
今回の記事でサス付き革製サドルをまた取り上げますが、このサドルはそれほど知られていません。
製造会社によってモデル番号が異なり、通常600系と呼ばれていました。
今まで見て来たモデル (800系) , (750系) , (900系) ?と? (500系) ?と比較して先端にあまりサスペンションがなく、ベーススプリング2本だけです。
後ろに (750系) , (900系) ?,? (500系) .と同じようにバネ2本。
(800系) , (750系) , (900系) ,? (500系) .と比較して鳥観図がスマートになっています。 ...

In the previous four posts, Sprung Leather Bicycle Saddles (Part 1) , (Part 2) ,? (Part 3) ?and (Part 4) we took a look at various leather saddle styles from the 1950's : (800 series) ,? (750 series), ? (900 series) ?and (500 series) , respectively.
In this installment we shall take a glance at yet another style, albeit a lesser known one.??
Depending on the manufacturer the model number varied but this saddle style was commonly referred to as the 600 series.
Compared to the front suspension in the other models we've seen so far (800 series) , (750 series) , (900 series) and (500 series) , less suspension in the front, only double base springs (wires).
Two coiled springs in the rear, similar to those on the (750 series) , (900 series) and (500 series) .
A narrower profile compared to all those seen so far (800 series) , (750 series) , (900 series) and (500 series) .

In the previous post, Sprung Leather Bicycle Saddles (Part 1) , we took a look at the hammock saddle .? I mentioned that I am old fashioned,?I make a conscious effort to appreciate the? simple ?things and not allow myself to be carried away by mass marketing and conspicuous consumption.? I enjoy taking care of things that are made well from genuine materials. ? I believe?that, if you take care of "something", that "something" will take care of you.? Sprung leather saddles are a good example,? if one takes care of the leather , the saddle will provide long lasting comfort, and, last a long time.
In this series we are looking at? a few of the main models from the 1950's, focusing on the suspension as the majority of the saddles varied mainly based more on how the saddle was sprung, i.e. the suspension, rather than the top profile.?
